SAFE@LAST has received £3051.55 raised at the STARS@LAST Variety Show.

STARS@LAST took place at the Rotherham Civic theatre on Friday 6th November. Now in its sixth year the show had something for everyone with almost twenty acts bringing dancing and singing, drama and comedy, rappers and panto princesses, cabaret acts and aerial artistry to the stage. With the theatre full to capacity more than 350 guests enjoyed the show.

Mark Smith SAFE@LAST Director of Operations and Retail said “SAFE@LAST supports young runaways who are very vulnerable when away from home. Young people that run away are at risk of becoming involved in dangerous lifestyles choices such as taking drugs, abusing alcohol, sleeping rough, having unsafe sex, missing school and much more. This amazing amount of funds will help us to continue to support young people and keep them safe by providing someone to talk to and to help them address the issues that lead them to run away.”

Mark added “We’re very grateful to all the wonderful acts that gave their time and talents for free and a special thanks must go to Christine who organises this fabulous event each year co-ordinating all aspects and making sure each and every person has a wonderful experience.”
