Kilimanjaro Climb

SAFE@LAST supporter Jason King prepares to climb Mount Kilimanjaro

At a colossal 5,895m, Mt. Kilimanjaro is one of the largest volcanoes to ever break through the Earth’s crust. SAFE@LAST supporter, Jason King's challenge is to clamber above the sea of clouds to its summit. He'll begin in the lush rainforests of the Lemosho Glades, climbing towards the Shira Plateau. From here he'll see his goal: the ice-capped peak of Kibo.

Jason will follow the impressive Southern Flank, Barranco Wall and Barafu Route to the summit. With its 1,000m ascent and 2,000m descent Kilimanjaro is not to be underestimated and will be one of the toughest but most exhilarating adventures Jason will ever embark on. He's taking on this massive challenge to raise funds and awareness for children and young people in South Yorkshire at risk through running away.

If you'd like to support Jason please visit his online fundraising page: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Jason-King2...

Jason will be completing his challenge with the support of Charity Challenge - the company that took 22 SAFE@LAST supporters up the
mountain in 2012. There are still places available on this trek if you'd like to join him - find out more here: https://www.charitychallenge.com/expedition/2423/K...
